I am a gay, Filipino-American who was raised in a traditional/religious home. My Christian upbringing lead to all three siblings going to the same Bible college and becoming pastors; my sister's husband was a pastor at well. Twenty years of praying to be straight ended with leaving the ministry and accepting that I was born this way. I went through two stints of reparative therapy that did not work.

After struggling to find meaning in various jobs/careers, I finally landed on what I should have been doing along - mental health. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and in Brainspotting (trauma modality). I work with individuals and couples. Being in the therapeutic setting is my greatest joy. I have a special place in my heart for those who have come out of the closet especially in religious settings. I have experienced the full extent of religious trauma and have done the work to heal and be a healer.
