APCTherapist Details
Hi! I’m Mary. I am an Atlanta-based graduate student at the University of Georgia pursing my Master of Social Work. Before going back to graduate school, I spent five years working in marketing across various industries including technology, healthIT, corporate communications, and aviation. Through this journey, I have been able to fuse my innate love for communications with my fierce passion for helping others, as well as mental and physical well-being and public health.
In addition to my marketing and communications work at Grounded Wellbeing, I am working in the psychotherapy field and completing my field education at a private practice in Atlanta, GA. I have experience working with youth who are navigating their gender identity and am passionate about providing supportive and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients. At the core of my approach is a commitment to the principles of strength-based care and person-centered therapy. I firmly believe in identifying and harnessing the existing resources and coping mechanisms within each client, helping them recognize their resilience and untapped potential. Through this methodology, we can facilitate positive growth and personal development, guiding clients on a path towards healing and self-discovery.
